Key Responsibilities

- To ensure marketing objectives are achieved across the portfolio of events
- To act as a change management ambassador, demonstrating a positive and constructive attitude towards challenges and change
- To share best practice within the team and wider Global Exhibitions business
- To ensure the team has the appropriate skills and resources to deliver agreed objectives
- To actively contribute to the strategic plans for events within the portfolio
- To manage a cross-functional marketing team which includes; event marketers, digital marketing managers, designers, content developers, social media and an audience development
- Represent the Consumer Portfolio across ME and divisional groups on marketing, digital, data and customer insights
- Portfolio Sponsor for GDPR
- Active role in the development and implementation of Corporate/ME initiatives
- Work with portfolio management to develop value propositions and messaging to drive engagement and conversion
- Identify and deliver key portfolio-wide projects to position products for continued growth (e.g. branding, cross-marketing, key account management, first-time exhibitor experience etc)
- Understand recent customer survey feedback and apply this information to Consumer marketing strategies
- Identify risks to the business achieving marketing targets and work with the portfolio management team to mitigate
- Share marketing case studies and best practice from across the ME business by forging collaborative relationships with marketers from across the division

Skills

- Educated to degree standard in a business or marketing field
- Proficient in the use of Advanced MS Office including intermediate/advanced Word and Excel
- Significant experience in a senior marketing role within the exhibitions/conferences sector
- Proven experience of delivering simultaneous multi-product marketing campaigns
- Experience with forming and delivering digital marketing strategies
- Extensive people management skills and experience
- Experience with working in a pressured working environment
- Speaks and writes clearly and fluently in English at all levels
- Thorough understanding of regional business culture
- Thorough understanding of the regional media landscape
- Proficient experience in using data segmentation, campaign management, and content management systems (preferably Eloqua and Adobe Experience Manager)
