explorer is looking for a meticulous, dynamic and creative Arabic editor who can uphold high-quality standards across our portfolio of Arabic language projects.

The right person will have a can-do attitude and accommodating team spirit, yet also flawless Arabic writing skills, uncompromising standards and impeccable attention to detail. As this position is at times client facing, you must be presentable, professional and unflappable, ideally with Arabic translation and editing experience for demanding clients in the UAE.

The vacancy is for an initial period of 4 months, which may be extended based on requirement. Candidates must be available to work inhouse in our Dubai office. We will consider full and part-time availability.

The role involves:

Copywriting, editing, original writing and proofreading assignments
Creative Arabisation and localisation – ensuring translated content reads like original Arabic
Taking ownership for and maintaining uncompromising high standards in all Arabic editorial
Project management of Arabic editorial projects
Managing freelancers where necessary and undertaking quality assurance
Meeting clients – listening to and understanding their requirements

Position Requirements:

Only candidates with relevant editorial qualifications in written Arabic will be considered
Fluent, native Arabic speaker with impeccable Arabic written skills
Excellent spoken English
Meticulous editing skills (spelling, grammar, punctuation, consistency, visual editing)
