Key Responsibilities

The Director, New Business Development works with the Executive Team to manage all new business plans and activities across Media Storm / Water Cooler Group. Assist in developing and facilitating the new business process including RFPs, budgeting and client presentations. Role also contributes to the development and maintenance of all marketing efforts including agency web site, press releases and social media accounts. Critical to be able to handle multiple engagements with complex deliverables at one time.



Key Areas of Responsibility:

The Director, New Business Development will project manage multiple efforts in support of New Business efforts
Develop and implement plans / calendars among multiple internal teams.
Ongoing communication of pitch details and expectations to teams.
Organize, direct and make physical arrangements for presentations.
Track and report on the status of all proposal, marketing and pitch components.
These efforts will include:
Delivery of RFI and RFP responses
Content for New Business meetings and Pitch presentations.
Development and maintenance of prospect and other new business databases.
Director, New Business Development will provide support on selected pitches working into the executive pitch lead.
Input into strategic recommendations to deliver against a prospects marketing plans.
Assist in prospect outreach program.
Assist in press releases regarding all WCG activities.
The Director, New Business Development will work with internal and external resources for the continued development of agency web sites.


Skills

Bachelor’s degree required.
Five to seven years of experience in business development at an agency
Advertising or Media agency experience required.
Highly organized with attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across internal and external teams.
Analyze and interpret information from a variety of sources (e.g. trade journals, research reports and white papers).
Ability to write reports, presentations and general business correspondence.
Ability to effectively present results to senior management, clients and other employees.
Most of all, maintain calm under pressure.
