Key Responsibilities
· Works with team to create media plans that integrate all aspects of digital media: Paid media (display), social media, paid search, mobile and other emerging technologies
· Displays in depth knowledge of ad serving and other proprietary / research tools
· A thought leader responsible for innovation & new media input
· Carries out communication planning.
· Understands marketing objectives and strategies for all the team’s Clients and ensures media objectives and strategies are on target & leads teams on strategic plans.
· In depth evaluations of media, proprietary and industry research in order to implement media strategy and objectives
· Regularly identifies creative and lateral media opportunities for Clients
· Build and maintain media knowledge of the market, consumer and media research available
· Full responsibility on planners and buyers in the team regarding implementation of media buys ensuring they are consistent with the approved plan with Buying department
· Manage a staff of media professionals. Develop the staff through performance management and giving consistent feedback. Identify with staff, developmental opportunities and help them to work toward their professional goals.
· Manage human resource administration, which includes: maintaining staff levels through effective recruiting, salary administration, performance management and conflict resolution.
· Promote an open working environment where opinions, views and ideas can be shared
· Provides training to planners in proper methods of preparing, evaluating and implementing media plans
· Establish and recommend training needs within the team
· Involvement in major media negotiations for Clients within their portfolio. This should be in conjunction with the Interactive Strategic Director
· Functions as a key contact between Client Service and the Clients for all requests for media
· Monitor all communication between agency teams and brand teams
· Maintain primary control over media planning budgets
· Provide direction regarding competitive reporting and media planning and carries overall responsibility for preparation, format, interpretation and presentation to Client
· Maintains strong relationship with media suppliers
· Leading clients’ media commitments, billings and revenue and to make sure the client group is meeting financial objectives
· Responsible with the Finance department of the collectivity of his or her clients’ budgets.
· Full responsibility on output of media executives & media planners
· Carries out quarterly presentations & buying reviews
· Helps out with pitches & presentations when needed
· Conducts regular presentations to clients keeping them informed of all relevant media trends and development
· Contributes to innovation and idea generation on a department and overall agency level
· Proactive media monitoring including Web Surfing to locate new opportunities
· Keeps abreast of industry trends and technologies and acts as a knowledge hub to team members.

Skills
Bachelor degree completed ideally in marketing, business or related subjects
Minimum 3-4 years digital experience
