Key Responsibilities

To manage a piece of a large account or a few smaller ones, under the direction on an account direct manage a team of account executives.
To handle and manage a wide range of assignments, projects, clients and staff successfully and with a high degree of independence.
To build strong client relationships and be considered a potential company leader.
To meet performance requirements and growth projections.
To act in accordance with company policies and procedures at all times and be familiar with and support achievement of, the company’s vision and exemplify the company’s values.
Responsibilities
To manage client expectations effectively.
To develop and manage projects/programmes, including implementation plans, evaluation mechanisms, staffing plans, budgets and timelines.
To ensure timely and effective service delivery to clients.
To oversee and direct media relations campaigns.
To efficiently and effectively plan and manage events.
To develop presentations for clients relative to project management/programme status/media coverage.
To keep team(s) appropriately informed and involved in projects.
To identify and secure help on emerging account problems.
To provide leadership in developing and presenting new business programmes for potential/existing clients.
To identify and pursue new business opportunities within and across company offices and practice areas.
To deliver strong analysis, creative ideas, strategies and concepts to new programme development.
To develop accurate project budgets and monitor them effectively.
To oversee timely development and distribution of bills and activity reports.
To follows-up with clients on collections and other financial and administrative details.
To meet billability targets established for the account manager position.
To ensure that staff complete and submit their timesheets on time.
To manage staff to maximize productivity and individual, team and financial performance.
To identify strengths and weaknesses of direct reports and team members, providing day-to-day feedback on job performance and career development as appropriate.
To delegate effectively.
Should have established media, professional, industry, consumer and other relevant contacts.
Should have strong presentation skills and play an increasingly active role in presentations.
To provide leadership in building effective, productive account teams.
To participate actively in team, staff and client meetings.
To anticipate and assist in developing solutions to client needs and problems.
Should understand the creative process and how to work effectively with internal and external creative resources and able to understand and use technology to support day to day work.
To be a broadly capable writer and editor, able to generate a range of materials that requires minimal editing and edit the work of others.
To act in accordance with company policies and procedures at all times.
To be familiar with the company’s vision and exemplifies the company’s values and ethics.

Skills

At least 4 years of PR & media experience (agency background) – mainly consumer background (entertainment, hospitality, automotive)
Bilingual (English + Arabic)
Excellent writing skills
Excellent project management skills
Passionate, enthusiastic and excellent leadership skills
Provides a clear direction for the team in support of business objectives.
Gives effective feedback and coaches individuals to develop their own knowledge, skills and behavior.
Conduct regular performance and development reviews.
Effectively manages poor performers.
Recognizes and values work done well.
Runs a team, negotiating for resource and allocating tasks within and across departments, controlling timelines and budgets, anticipating issues, dealing with problems and working towards a solution.
Acts as the client’s day to day contact for all strategic and creative issues.
Understand the dynamics of the market and the brand within the market.
Builds knowledge of brands, synthesizing and interpreting information to facilitate strong strategic thinking.
Drives the ongoing strategic direction of the brand encouraging and supporting others in their brand investigations.
Ensure that all brand activity is on agreed brand strategy
Work to ensure client and agency share same expectations across all projects.
Represents individual or team point of view in convincing and compelling manner when speaking or writing.
Understands and appreciates the financial planning process.
Controls costs to ensure projects come in on budget.
Demonstrates an understanding of the business implications of specific brand activity.
Recognizes business development opportunities and highlights these to senior management.
Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the key elements of the communications mix and their potential to deliver brand messages at various contact points.
