Bringing a new way to explore the city, Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism along with dnata Travel Group have launched My City Expert—a service that offers residents and tourists a new way to experience Dubai.

The initiative is designed in a way to help tourists and residents alike to understand the city and helps in making it possible to book in real-time a host of more than 1200 tours, attractions, and experiences.

A user’s dedicated Dubai ‘travel companion’, My City Expert, can also communicate directly with Dubai-based experts for recommendations, or to curate itineraries across top local landmarks or ‘hidden gems’, tailor-made to their needs.

Opened in Dubai Harbour, My City Expert kiosks will support cruise passengers with the tour and attraction bookings whilst docked in the city. Travellers interested in exploring more of the UAE can also book experiences across the emirates, designed to offer memorable day trips from Dubai.

Talking about the new initiative, Hoor Al Khaja, Associate Vice President International Operations, Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, said, “As Dubai continues to witness steady growth in domestic and inbound tourism, we have also seen increasing demand for city tours, attractions and experiences, as residents and visitors are seeking to take in more of the impressive multifaceted destination offering.”

“The Department of Economy and Tourism continues to strengthen its relationships with partners and stakeholders, as we remain committed to ensuring that visitors enjoy the world’s best experiences, whilst prioritising the safety of domestic and international tourists at every stage and touchpoint of their travel journey across the city,” he further added.

Additionally, with the help of My City Expert portfolio, travellers can book a world of Dubai experiences across the following categories—Desert and Outdoors, cruise and boat tours, waterparks and theme parks, sports, family-friendly, sightseeing and attractions, arts, and culture, explore other emirates among others.
