Foundation Day spirit was high in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the country and its people celebrated the new annual holiday to commemorate the founding of the first Saudi state on Thursday, February 22.

Saudi Foundation Day is now marked as an annual holiday, established with a royal decree issued by King Salman in the year 2022 through the official Saudi Press Agency. However, it is different from Saudi National Day, which is celebrated annually on September 23.

As the Kingdom commemorates the history of Saudi rule which dates back hundreds of years, a video of the Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo posing with a Falcon for Foundation Day celebrations.

The 38-year-old star player, Ronaldo who is also the captain of Al Nassr was also seen wearing traditional attire and holding a falcon for his second Foundation Day with the Riyadh-based club. Falcon, proudly holds the title of The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s national bird.

Donning the traditional Arabian ethnic wear alongside his Al Nassr teammates, Ronaldo also gave an exclusive speech to celebrate the occasion of the Saudi Foundation Day. Take a look:
