Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohamed bin Zayed pays visit to the latest tourism project in Khor Fakkan

The much-talked tourism project at Khor Fakkan has been in the making and is touted to be one of the best attractions in the region. While the project is still under process, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, visited the Al Suhub Rest House, the latest tourism project in Khor Fakkan.

Located at 600 meters above sea level and overlooks Khor Fakkan’s major landmarks, it is a striking tourism destination that was toured by Sheikh Mohamed.

On his visit, the project’s facilities, and services were briefed to the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and was informed about the main building, which comprises two floors with a total area of 2,788 square meters.

“Today, I visited Al Suhub Rest House in Khor Fakkan, which offers panoramic views of the city’s landmarks and its authentic history, a city blessed with beautiful nature and diversity… a city where qualitative vital projects are open, adding to the nation’s tourist assets. We appreciate the efforts of Sheikh Sultan, the Ruler of Sharjah, who dedicated all the potential to serve the nation and citizens,” Sheikh Mohamed tweeted.

The project’s ground floor includes a restaurant and a cafe that can accommodate 88 visitors in the inner hall and 48 in the outer balcony, while the basement contains a multi-purpose hall, separate prayer rooms for men and women, toilets, and service and administrative facilities.

Offering a panoramic view of Sharjah’s east coast and the Gulf of Oman, the project also has a total of 8,700 trees were also planted in the rest house.

During his visit, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised the qualitative projects recently launched by H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and that such projects help drive tourism in Sharjah and serve the interests of the UAE and its people.
