The Find WiFi feature Facebook began testing last November is now being rolled out globally for iPhone and Android.

Find WiFi enables users to discover WiFi hotspots that businesses have shared via their Facebook pages, giving them more connectivity options.

Engineering director Alex Himel said in a Newsroom post introducing the feature:

Find WiFi helps you locate available WiFi hotspots nearby that businesses have shared with Facebook from their pages. So wherever you are, you can easily map the closest connections when your data connection is weak.

To find WiFi hotspots, open your Facebook application, click on the “More” tab and then “Find WiFi.” Once in the “Find WiFi” tab, you may need to turn it on. You can then browse the closest available hotspots on a map and learn more about the businesses hosting them.
