Dubai’s Global Village has been quite popular among tourists and locals alike. The event that sees multiple countries from across the globe come under one roof celebrated its 25th year. With 78 nations and around 25 pavilions, the event saw a huge success among visitors.

Being one of the most favourite things to do on Dubai’s list, the Global Village celebrated its silver jubilee and made the celebration even more special for the Emiratis.

Some of the major attractions like daily stage shows, mission speed stunt show, kids’ theatre, fire fountain show, heaps of tasty street food along Kiosk Street, an Indian bazaar and a floating market made the gathering worthwhile.

The 25th season that concluded on May 2, after a 190-day celebration marking its silver jubilee has announced its return. Global Village has now announced Season 26 which will be held in October 2021. While the announcement has left everyone excited, more announcements and updates on the event are awaited.

After the silver jubilee celebration, the Global Village family is excited to come together for the next season, however, Season 25 will always be remembered as a major milestone for the team. Despite the pandemic situation, the Global Village adhered to strict safety norms and made it a worthwhile experience for the visitors and travellers.

With a massive rock concert and performers from 80 countries joining Rockin’1000 and as many as 78 cultures coming under one roof, the event formed the region’s largest street food and shopping collective, demonstrating the resilience of the local economy.

Global Village also broke 25 Guinness World Records in honour of the Silver Jubilee anniversary. Representing the 78 cultures that were present at Global Village during its 25th season, 20 skydivers jumped from an altitude of more than 4,570 metres, lighting the skies with 78 fireworks. They won the title for ‘Highest altitude fireworks display.’
