Although the video is currently trending, it was actually filmed last month and initially shared on TikTok by Emoinu Oinam. In the clip, Oinam takes viewers on a walk around Conche, Newfoundland, where the iceberg was sighted. The video went viral and was later reposted on Oinam's Instagram account.

National Geographic explains that icebergs that drift towards the coast of Newfoundland typically originate from Greenland's glaciers, breaking off into the sea before floating towards Canada's eastern shores. The region along the east coast of Newfoundland and Labrador is aptly known as ‘Iceberg Alley’, and in recent years, the size of these icebergs appears to be increasing.
