Mashable: After PewDiePie, Mr. Beast is the only YouTube star to reach the 100 million subscriber mark.
MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, has surpassed PewDiePie (Felix Kjellberg) to take the top spot for most subscribers on YouTube.
According to a current YouTube subscriber count, MrBeast has more than 111,972,000 subscribers, while PewDiePie has more than 111,848,000 subscribers.
The latter has been retired for a while, but in July 2022, when he first learned that MrBeast was getting close to 100 million followers, he was happy to encourage him. “I’ve been retired for like two years now. I can’t wait for it to be over,” he had said.
Later, he added, "Mr. Beast definitely deserves it" and "I hope he reaches his goal."
MrBeast is well known for his high-budget stunt videos, where he often gives his viewers absurd sums of money in exchange for completing tasks. Although these tasks can involve anything from swimming with sharks to participating in a real Squid Game, everyone always seems eager to accept them.
After PewDiePie, Mr. Beast is the only YouTube star (excluding channels associated with kid's shows and record labels) to reach the 100 million subscriber mark.
Creator Gdizzle claims that MrBeast's subscriber count is growing faster than the entire world's population.

With the caption "The end of a YouTube era but no one deserves this more than @MrBeast," YouTuber Airrack also praised Mr. Beast for his accomplishment.

Since a lot of people have switched from Twitch to YouTube, there may eventually be some fierce competition for the top spot if top streamers like xQc and Kai Cenat decide to make the switch permanently.
However, MrBeast, who is expected to maintain his top spot for some time, is now far from being threatened by any streamer's YouTube channel.
