Covering more than 252,000 square metres of land, it will be bigger than Aquaventure Waterpark at Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai, the current title-holder.

Promoted as the future capital of entertainment, sports and culture, the park is set to be the largest water park in the region, Qiddiya is one of the Kingdom’s upcoming projects alongside the popular theme park Six Flags as part of Vision 2030.

With having broken records with the Falcon’s Flight ride, and Sirocco Tower, the world’s tallest drop-tower ride, the waterpark will be its’ biggest addition to date.

The waterpark will bring nine different zones, each of which is named after local nature and wildlife, such as Camel Rock, Arabian Peak, Wave Wadi, and Viper Canyon.

With several initiatives in place to reduce the amount of water needed to operate the park, smart technology will play a major role in the park’s operation. The park will also incorporate technologies that reduce water pressure on rides, cutting water wastage from evaporation by up to 50 per cent.

Occasional rainy days in the region, with rainwater falling on the site being collected, treated, and used for irrigating the destination, are also on the charts for the waterpark.

Increasing the refreshing experience even further, food and beverage outlets will also be available to visitors to revitalise and explore the water park in all of its amusement.
