The Galaxy S22 series was just released globally by Samsung. In India, the new Samsung flagships will be available very soon. The S22 series includes three flagship smartphones from Samsung. The S22 and S22+ have the same design as their predecessors, however, the S22 Ultra has been completely redesigned. The Galaxy S22 Ultra was released with a boxy appearance with an S Pen slot, similar to the Galaxy Note series.

There have been rumours that Samsung might discontinue the Note series, and now, Samsung has officially announced the Note's demise. However, one of the Note's most distinguishing features will remain. In the meanwhile, Samsung has officially retired the Galaxy Note series.

The Galaxy Note series has been discontinued, according to Samsung's smartphone CEO Roh Tae-moon. At MWC 2022, Samsung's senior executive informed reporters (via The Verge) that the "Galaxy Note will come out as Ultra." Tae-moon was referring to the Galaxy S22 Ultra as the new Note, in case you didn't notice.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra contains all of the features that Samsung's Galaxy Note series delivers in a smartphone, including an S Pen slot. These include a large display, strong performance, productivity and creativity-enhancing software adjustments for the S Pen, premium camera sensors, and so on.

In 2020, Samsung will release the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, which will be the final smartphone in the Galaxy Note series. Samsung's future foldable range of smartphones eventually supplanted the Note series.

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 are the brand's most recent foldable smartphones. The Z Fold 4 is expected to incorporate an S Pen slot this year. As a result, while Samsung has cancelled the famous Galaxy Note series, the damage isn't as severe because the Galaxy S22 Ultra provides everything you'd expect from a Galaxy Note.
