Live Streaming Mobile Platform "Swoo" Announced The Winners For The 3rd week Of SWOOperstar 2017

Swoo, a livestreaming mobile platform has announced its 3rd week winners for its competition themed SWOOperstar 2017.

Swoo was developed by Algorythma, the technology arm of Abu Dhabi Financial Group. Algorythma develops technology products and invests in technology start-ups.

The competition was organised by and on Swoo, a video streaming app. The SWOOperstar 2017 competition kick started on December 1, and ran through the month with weekly winners.

Divyesh Mahajan, acting CEO of Swoo, said: “The response has been tremendous, so far. Within a week of SWOOperstar’s commencement, live broadcasts on our platform have increased 3.5 times with a proportionate increase in the number of users signing up and engaging.”

Winners for the 3rd week were: Maii Abdelhady from Egypt who won $10,000, Dr Mohammed Said from Egypt who won $3,000 and Zaiena Haidar from Pakistan who resides in Dubai, UAE, and who won $2,000.

The competition was judged by a jury based on the audience interest which was calculated by the number of views, the broadcasts received, the number of comments, claps and shares on the broadcasts and finally quality of content, a statement from the company stated.

Swoo broadcasters, both professional and aspiring, have been personally handpicked by the team to ensure enhanced app experience, the release stated.

Viewers can explore authentic and experiential content around technology, health, sports, travel, food, entertainment, lifestyle among others, on Swoo.

The Swoo app, available for Android and iOS smartphones, has reportedly grown since its launch in October 2017, with more than 650 000 installs, the company claims. While Swoo has users from across the globe, most of the users currently come from the Middle East, North Africa and the Indian subcontinent.
