Mashable: UAE announces new daily fines for expiry of residents and tourist visas

The United Arab Emirates has declared new visa fines for residents, and tourists.

The Digital Government of UAE with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (UAEICP) recently declared new visa fines for residents and tourists.

The UAE government is unifying fines for overstaying visas in the country.

According to Arabian Business a fixed and unified fine of AED50 will be placed for each day after the expiration date of visas.

Now, the residents, tourists, and visit visa holders in the country who overstay will have to pay a standardized fine of AED50 per day instead of AED100.

This new combined fee structure is directed towards the overstays on expired residences or visit visas in the Emirates.

As per the new policy, the fixed fine will be charged for each day after the expiration date of the visa and will be inclusive of any provided grace period for its renewal.

The Digital Government of UAE has also asked individuals to access information from its official website and the website of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai.
