Mashable: UAE leaders send best wishes for Diwali
“Festival of Lights” has lit up the Emirates- and how.
On Sunday, November 12, 2023, UAE leaders shared their warm wishes for Diwali, the Hindu festival which is observed for five days. This year Diwali celebrations begin on November 10, 2023, and will end on November 14, 2023.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, the President of the United Arab Emirates expressed his best wishes to everyone celebrating the Indian “Festival of Lights” across the world. The UAE leader took to social media to wish Diwali.
Warm greetings also came from the Vice President of UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid who offered his greetings to everyone celebrating Diwali.
The “Festival of Lights” is of great importance in the Hindu religion. It is regarded as one of the most important Indian festivals of the year. Diwali is observed for a total of five days where people take part in prayer, greetings, feasts, as well as fireworks displays.
The “Festival of Lights” has taken over the Emirates. The dynamic festival has cast its spell in the United Arab Emirates City of Dubai, igniting the neighborhood.
Diwali celebrations in Dubai saw different communities uniting and sparkling their spaces with captivating displays of colorful light.
Several videos from Dubai’s Bur Dubai, Al Mankhool, Karama, and more places have captivated the world. Residents in these areas transformed their spaces with the traditional illumination of lamps called “diya” and traditional color art “rangoli.” People dress in traditional clothing, make sweets at home, as well as buy ornamental items.
