Wieden + Kennedy London has parted ways with its chief strategy officer and former partner Paul Colman, bringing a decade-long tenure at the agency to an abrupt end.

The agency did not provide details on the reason for Colman's departure but cited ‘corrective action’ in a statement following reports of a HR complaint.

It said: “W+K does not tolerate harassment of any kind. If harassment or inappropriate conduct is reported, a timely investigation is conducted, and if a violation is found to have occurred, appropriate corrective action is taken.

“We also do not comment on internal matters.”

Colman had risen through the ranks at Wieden + Kennedy since joining its London office as head of planning in 2007, having previously worked for in the marketing department for probiotic dairy brand Yakult.

Elevated to the post of chief strategy officer back in 2014 Colman attained further success two years later when he was elevated to become one of 15 new global partners.

A wave of harassment allegations have hit the advertising and media industries in recent months led by the #metoo movement.
