The Coronavirus lockdown has had many of them put on weight, thanks to the lack of workout and stagnant lifestyle. However, it was not just the public, but also Hollywood actor Will Smith who was in the ‘worst shape of his life’.
The actor-producer, earlier this year shared the same in a candid Instagram photo. Since then, he has been committed to losing weight and getting into the best shape of his life.
As he takes on the fit life, he has been keeping fans updated on social media as he tries new workouts and provides tips for success. Since May, he has been tracking his progress and promised a YouTube series about the same.
The actor has finally shared the trailer for his upcoming YouTube Originals documentary series titled, ‘Best Shape of My Life’. The series will premiere on his channel on November 8.
The two-minute trailer reveals that the majority of the documentary was filmed in Dubai, as Will Smith cycles in front of the scintillating Downtown skyline. Camels can be seen on his cycle ride before the clip cuts to him in a yoga pose on the Burj Al Arab helipad.
Will Smith did the majority of his training at Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex, which belongs to close friend His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
Through the six-part unscripted series, the actor will give viewers an inside look into his weight loss journey. It showcases the physical, emotional, and mental hurdles he faces in getting back in shape after 50, featuring talking heads in addition to documentary-style filming.
Other parts of the trailer showcase Smith running along the beach and writing his upcoming book, ‘Will’. It also features experts discussing Smith’s project, and clips of the actor talking honestly with his family about various struggles throughout his life.
The series isn’t just about losing the weight, but about Smith taking a hard look at himself and everything he’s accomplished so far.
