Al Nisr Publishing is a company based in Dubai, UAE. The company is a part of Al Tayer Group. It was established in 1985 by Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Abdullah Al Rostamani and Juma Al Majid. It employs 1,050 people and has branches in Manila, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. It publishes Gulf News, the leading English-language newspaper in the region. The Al Nisr Publishing LLC is the Publisher of Gulf News Daily & Friday weekly magazine , the most widley read English Newspaper in the United Arab Emirates & the Gulf. The newspaper started in 1978, and was relaunched in 1985 under the present management, from which time it has grown steadily. It now publishes a daily package broad sheet with News, Opinion, Business, Sport, and Tabloid (leisure and lifestyle), and the strongest Classifieds section in the Middle East. We also publish two magazines: A weekend magazine titled Friday, is high quality glossy production, with great pictures and a focus on the family, women and lifestyle for the Gulf region; also Entertainment Plus a magazine with TV schedules, cinema guide, reviews & gossip, radio listings and celebrity information.
