Mashable: Abu Dhabi's push to become a premier destination for weddings received a significant boost with the recent announcement from the Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau (ADCEB).

During the Arabian Travel Market 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from May 6 to May 9, ADCEB unveiled a new initiative aimed at supporting Indian nationals hosting destination weddings in Abu Dhabi.

This initiative aligns with Abu Dhabi's ambitious Tourism Strategy 2030, which targets a substantial increase in visitor numbers to 39.3 million by the end of the decade.

As part of this strategy, the destination wedding segment has emerged as a key focus area for ADCEB, with the goal of enhancing the sector's contribution to the GDP to Dirham 90 billion by 2030.

Recognizing India as one of the largest markets for destination weddings globally, ADCEB's visa support initiative seeks to position Abu Dhabi as a premier choice for weddings and celebrations of all kinds.

By absorbing visa costs for Indian weddings, ADCEB aims to showcase the city's rich cultural heritage, diverse entertainment offerings, and stunning natural landscapes to international audiences.

This move underscores Abu Dhabi's commitment to diversifying its tourism offerings and attracting both domestic and international visitors, further solidifying its position as a top global destination for unforgettable celebrations.
