The aquarium has launched an all-new ‘Junior Marine Biologist’ program, to educate them about the marine world.

The National Aquarium in Abu Dhabi has been gaining all the right attention since its opening, and now, to draw attention to the young minds of the region, the aquarium has launched an all-new ‘Junior Marine Biologist’ program, to educate them about the marine world.

Located in Al Qana, the National Aquarium is Abu Dhabi’s premier waterfront dining and entertainment destination and the new program of the centre has been specifically designed to cater to children aged 5-15.

The hands-on educational programme is a one-of-a-kind educational and career guidance program that will enable students to step inside the shoes of a marine biologist and experience what it’s like to care for 300 different species and over 46,000 animals, inside the Middle East’s largest aquarium.

A program that can be a hands-on after-school activity, the Junior Marine Biologist programme, will give children an opportunity to explore the aquarium, learn about all of the incredible animals of the water bodies, assist with feedings and even get the chance to care for rescued sea turtles, as part of the National Aquarium's conservation education program.

The National Aquarium’s dedicated staff will guide them through an immersive experience and engage them in caring for the aquarium's diverse animal population.

Children can also get an opportunity to assist with animal feedings, enrichment, cleaning, and daily checks as part of the National Aquarium’s animal husbandry program, as well as explore the science behind caring for various species.

The program has been priced at AED 350 per child, which includes the three-hour behind-the-scenes access, as well as the aquarium journey. The educational program is available for bookings Mondays to Thursdays from 4 PM to 7 PM and on Fridays from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
