One of the most iconic festivals that celebrate Emirati Heritage and the Abu Dhabi Police—the Al Murabba Heritage Festival is gearing up as it is about to take place in October.
The festival that is going to take place at Ajman, aims at supporting young artists through events and activities that entertain and educate both children and adults.
Highlighting the historic and cultural importance of the Al Murabbaa Fort and the Abu Dhabi Police, the Al Murabba Festival will be held over 10 days from October to November this year.
Held under the patronage of Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the Crown Prince of Ajman, the announcement was made by the Ajman Tourism Development Department which will take place in the Ajman Heritage District that surrounds the Ajman Museum.
Titled, ‘Inspired by Yesterday to Imagine Tomorrow,’ the Al Murabba Arts Festival features the legacy of human civilization in the Emirates, and constitute a title for the emirate’s heritage sites and cultural and artistic activities.
Through the festival, the Ajman Emirates aims to be one of the bridges convergence and dialogue between different members of society, and knowledge of all the arts enjoyed by the state, including all cultural and heritage arts.
As the preparations have been taking shape for the festival, organisers have also launched an open call for artists and creatives to propose works that will be shown during the event. Artistes that cater to visual arts, design workshops, literary works, performance art and film can reach out to them. To boost their confidence, the organisers have also announced Dh5,000 ($1,361) each in order to produce their work and can also sell their creations during the festival.
