TONAL SPOT, VIBRANT, EXPRESSIVE, SPRITZ, RAINBOW, and FRUIT SALAD are the new color styles.

Material You developed by Google was introduced in Android 12 and made its way to the AOSP in Android 12L. In preparation for Android 13, which will be available from more OEMs, Google is fast tracking the process in refining it. One of the first things seen is the addition of up to five new color schemes. TONAL SPOT, VIBRANT, EXPRESSIVE, SPRITZ, RAINBOW, and FRUIT SALAD are the new color styles.

For a quick recap with the introduction of Material You design, Google designed a theme engine code-named "monet," which generates a rich palette of pastel hues based on the user's wallpaper.

These colors are then applied to various sections of the system and their values are made available through an API that the user's applications can call, allowing apps to select if they also wish to recolor their UIs.

With the use of adb command, users and testers may unlock a new range of color options on Android 13 Developer Preview 2, as discovered by Esper. New color styles are the following.

TONAL_SPOT is the default color scheme. VIBRANT produces a more tonal palette with slightly changing colors and brighter secondary and background colors. EXPRESSIVE produces a more vibrant palette with numerous strong tones. SPRITZ creates a dimmer palette with fewer colors. Esper did not reveal anything regarding RAINBOW or FRUIT SALAD.

However, it's possible that Google might not implement these through a user-facing UI in Android 13 as features and elements of the UI change till the last developer preview. Also, the company may be working on this for a future version, which is exactly what happened when they were working on scrolling screenshots for Android 11 until it finally debuted officially in version 12.

Then again, until Google restricts access to it, you should be able to access it using adb. If you don't want to deal with adb, you may use the most recent version of Repainter, which will essentially run those adb instructions on your Google Pixel for you.

Additionally, Google will use new system APIs in Android 13 to create "3D wallpapers" that move when your phone moves." There are strings in the current version of the WallpaperPicker app included in Android 13 DP2 for Pixel devices that hint at the addition of a new "Effects" tab to the interface. Users can utilize this tab to apply cinematic effects to their wallpaper, such as the 3D wallpaper effect.
