The Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance (BIBF) under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain organizes a one-day Virtual Forum, powered by Batelco, entitled “Achieving Excellence in a Pandemic”. The Forum is slated to take place on 22 June 2020 and will provide an outlook on COVID-19 which will shed light on how to overcome its challenges and attain business continuity. Building on the success of previous learning events and forums, this initiative is launched in alignment with the Kingdom’s national direction to support organizations during the COVID-19 Pandemic, and in order to continue the education and training support to the business community.
Business professionals from various sectors and specializations will engage and learn from keynote speakers, expert panelists and specialized workshops through an interactive and stimulating learning experience. In addition, the forum’s guest speaker, Mr. Hal S. Scott, the Emeritus Nomura Professor of International Systems at Harvard Law School will be delivering the Forum closing session on “How the Global Business World is Responding to COVID-19”.
The BIBF Director, Dr. Ahmed Al Shaikh stated, “We are excited to host the first BIBF Virtual Forum. In this challenging time, and as a leading training provider, we believe it is important that we offer learning opportunities that are catered towards supporting organizations during the Pandemic”. Dr. Al Shaikh also added, “We are proud to collaborate with Batelco on this key initiative. This partnership is in line with Batelco’s commitment to support the local community and its continuous contribution to various national initiatives including education”.
The Forum’s Project Manager, the BIBF Head of Digital Transformation and Project Management, Mr. Ahmed Naeemi stated, “Our periodic educational forums and learning events aim to connect our learners with local and international subject matter experts. This year’s Forum is delivered in a different approach, utilizing digital means to connect learners with a wider range of experts enabling them to select and attend the sessions that mostly cater to their top business issues in the COVID-19 era”.
