Mashable: Global Village, Dubai’s leading multicultural family destination, which closed its doors last night, has set a new record this season.

Global Village, the world-famous shopping, dining, and entertainment attraction which is located on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road in Dubai, United Arab Emirates broke a new record in Season 28.

According to the Khaleej Times, the leisure destination that welcomes guests of all ages concluded its 28th season yesterday, on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, and hosted a record-breaking 10 million visitors this season.

Fernando Eiroa, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Holding Entertainment, said, “As the curtains draw on another spectacular season, we are thrilled to celebrate the remarkable milestone of 10 million guests gracing Global Village with their presence.”

Throughout Season 28, the destination captivated guests with an array of activities, promising a wonderful experience for visitors of all ages.

“This underscores Global Village’s positioning as a global cultural destination and reaffirms our commitment to driving economic growth and fostering cultural exchange,” Fernando Eiroa added. “It is also a testament to the enduring allure of our multicultural haven and the unwavering dedication of our team.”

Season 28 of Global Village opened on October 18, 2023, and celebrated diversity with over 90 cultures showcased across 27 pavilions. The entertainment destination offered everything from concerts and cultural experiences to shopping and fun rides to its visitors.

First scheduled to close on April 28, 2024, the new season of Global Village was extended until May 8, 2024.

During season 28, Global Village hosted the talents of 400 artists, delivering over 40,000 performances. Guests also enjoyed numerous attractions, including 200+ rides, as well as indulge in a diverse culinary and retail experience with over 3,500 shopping outlets and more than 250 dining options.
