The Museum of the Future turns two today.
One of Dubai’s most famous landmarks, The Museum of the Future celebrates two successful years today, Thursday, February 22, 2024.
According to The Khaleej Times, Dubai’s Museum of the Future hosted a staggering 2 million visitors on the 2nd anniversary.
Opened two years ago on February 22, 2022, Dubai’s famous landmark has reportedly welcomed more than 2 million visitors from more than 172 countries around the world.
The Museum of the Future is known for its unique architectural design and houses 1,024 stainless steel pieces which are manufactured with the help of specialised robots. Besides its many architectural wonders, the United Arab Emirates city of Dubai’s landmark has become a global platform for innovation.
The Museum of the Future reimagines the future in line with the vision of Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The futuristic masterpiece has reportedly hosted over 280 prominent events during the past two years. It has attracted more than 20,000 participants from all over the world and received over 40 heads of state and government, ministers and official delegations during their official visits to the Emirates.
Shedding light on both Dubai and the UAE’s vision for the future, the futuristic museum has additionally hosted over 370 international, regional and local media delegations.
“The Museum of the Future’s inauguration in 2022 sent a powerful message to the world; that the region was now ready to shape and influence the future of humanity,” said Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Chairman of the Museum of the Future. “It not only affirmed Dubai's leadership in foresight, but also positioned the city among the world’s most advanced and forward-thinking urban centres.” He continued, “In the span of just two years, the museum has evolved into a dynamic hub for innovation, education, and intellectual creativity.”
H H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced the launch of the “Museum of the Future” project on March 3, 2015, after the 3rd edition of the World Government Summit (WGS) hosted its earliest version in February 2015.
