The internet is abuzz with speculation that Dubai YouTuber Khalid Al Ameri is engaged to South Indian actress Sunaina. The unconfirmed hunch began circulating on social media ever since Sunaina posted a cryptic photograph of a man holding her hand via Instagram on June 5. Though the face of the man wasn’t disclosed to the camera, Sunaina concluded her post with a lock emoticon, which is largely believed to be her indication that she’s taken.

In a subsequent post, Sunaina was seen enjoying a cup of tea but it didn’t take long for fans to notice the diamond rock she wore on her ring finger, thereby fuelling engagement theories online.

Strange enough, Dubai social media star Khalid Al Ameri also announced his engagement via Instagram on June 5 without revealing the face of his fiancé. The photo shared by Khalid appears quite similar to Sunaina’s post, the only difference is that the couple in his picture have both worn engagement rings.

It is important to note neither Khalid nor Sunaina has officially confirmed their engagement to each other but eagle-eyed netizens were quick to catch a whiff of their supposed secret tryst.

On July 1, Salama Mohamed, revealed that her & Khalid got divorced back in Feb 14 this year.

The speculation comes at a time when Khalid’s former wife Salama Mohamed publicly confirmed their divorce in a YouTube interview with Emirati presenter Nour Aldin. Salama’s breaking silence on the split was after Khalid’s engagement post surfaced online. The mother of two stated she now remains focused on living an independent life.

“For the first time, Salama’s life wasn’t dependent on anyone. Before marriage, I was dependent on my family. After marriage, I was dependent on my husband. But now as an independent person, it’s the first time that I know Salama,” Salama reflected on the divorce.

Khalid is popular for his comedic travel vlogs where he explores local culture and cuisines of different countries. Meanwhile, Sunaina is known for her works in Inspector Rishi and Kaali among others.
