Elon Musk achieves another feat as he earns a few more billions, thanks to Tesla.

Elon Musk, the world's richest man, earned a few more billion to take his net worth past the $300 billion mark. The 50-year-old space enthusiast's fortune witnessed a surge of $10 billion after Tesla's share price spike. Musk, who made history by becoming the first person ever to worth more than $300 billion last week, has extended his lead at the top as he stands at $311 billion, according to Bloomberg Billionaires' Index. The immense success of Tesla has helped him gain the top spot, Musk's aerospace company SpaceX has also turned out to be quite profitable. Not only has the Musk-founded company bagged many NASA contracts in recent years, but it even created history, earlier this year, by completing its first all-civilian space mission.

While Tesla's recent deal with Hertz Global Holdings Inc. for 100,000 electric vehicles helped Musk add $36 billion to his fortune, it even improved the EV car producing company's share value in the market, thus earning the billionaire another $10 billion. With an influx of more than $100 billion in 2021 itself, the success of Tesla and SpaceX have helped Musk climb the ladder and create history.

With a fortune worth over $100 billion more than his arch-rival and second positioned Amazon founder Jeff Bezos ($195 billion), Musk net worth is currently more than the annual GDP of many nations like Pakistan, Greece, Finland and others. And an English journalist even highlighted this point on Twitter, which instantly turned into an exciting conversation on the microblogging site.

Despite the immense success on the professional front, 2021 doesn't seem to be that great for Musk on the personal front. In an interview, last month, the billionaire had confirmed reports of him parting ways with partner Grimes, but he also admitted that they are still staying together. "We are semi separated but still love each other, see each other frequently, and are on great terms," Musk said.
