Workshops and real-time experiments in the field of machine learning will be conducted for school kids.
From intelligent traffic control systems to facial recognition and smart home appliances in households, the UAE has opened doors for AI to play a larger role in human life as robots have also arrived in restaurants, hospitals and public events to guide, entertain or care for people during the new normal. Although the Emirates is open to every efficient solution created using machine learning or computer vision, the country is also proactive about developing its own fleet of innovators, who will emerge from the world's first ever university dedicated to AI in Abu Dhabi.
Other universities in the UAE are also introducing separate courses for students enthusiastic about making a career in a future connected through the internet of things, and knowledge about these solutions has also enabled young minds to create gadgets like smart drones. In light of the developments around intelligent tech in education, a university has set up a lab in Dubai, which aims to encourage students of diverse age groups to learn about AI and apply their knowhow for solving everyday problems.
Launched by Amity University, the project will provide young talent with access to AI tutors, digital language assistants and content generated via smart tech, in order to propel them towards exploring innovative ideas, which can pave the way for a smarter tomorrow in the region. Workshops and real-time experiments will also be conducted for students who are still in school, giving them a platform to test their concepts at an early age.
In line with the commitment towards nurturing fresh talent, the lab has been set up at an incubator in the university, which also provides fertile ground for students to work on startup ideas. Apart from education, pupils will also be encouraged to create tech which will be applied in medicine, manufacturing, design and engineering, among other sectors.
This is just one more educational push for a smarter future, alongside initiatives like VR and satellite tech which allow students to develop their knowledge on space-tech.
