In partnership with International Media Investments (IMI), Euronews produces 'INSPIRE Middle East' from its new editorial bureau in Abu Dhabi.
The weekly show, presented by the channel’s new anchor Rebecca McLaughlin-Duane and broadcast every week on Euronews and Africanews, highlights the region's business, creative and cultural landscape.
Yesterday at the Louvre Abu Dhabi, Michael Peters, CEO of Euronews and Abdul Hadi Al Sheikh, CEO of International Media Investments (IMI), officially announced the opening of the Euronews bureau in the Middle East.
Through its close partnership with IMI, the Abu Dhabi based Investment company behind the relaunch of The National, Abu Dhabi’s premier English language publication, Euronews is now operating from within Abu Dhabi’s Media Zone.
The central mission of the new office is to produce a weekly, flagship Middle East programme and to position Euronews’ Abu Dhabi’s office as the channel’s editorial hub in the region.
Produced from Abu Dhabi, INSPIRE Middle East is Euronews' weekly business and lifestyle programme fully dedicated to the region. The new show, broadcast to a global audience via Euronews Group media outlets, Euronews and Africanews and on the digital platforms and mobiles devices, takes viewers on a voyage of discovery through the region's commercial, creative and cultural landscape.
The Abu Dhabi bureau will also provide news content for Euronews and Africanews from across the Middle East and North Africa, ensuring that the network’s global viewership is kept abreast of events in the MENA region.
Daleen Hassan, the Executive producer of 'INSPIRE Middle East' is appointed Bureau Chief of the Euronews bureau. She is joined by Rebecca McLaughlin-Duane, Euronews’ new TV anchor, and a multinational team will be based in Abu Dhabi.
