Mashable: The shuttle flights are only open to fans with tickets, and each passenger is allowed 10 kg of carry-on luggage.
With flights departing and landing on the same day starting November 21, ticket holders for the Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022 can now book one of the daily Air Arabia shuttles from Sharjah to Doha.
The low-cost airline has added 14 more trips to its existing three daily scheduled flights between Sharjah International Airport and Hamad International Airport in Doha, enabling football fans to fly in, watch live games, and return soon after.
The shuttle flights are only open to fans with tickets, and each passenger is allowed 10 kg of carry-on luggage.
Tickets holders must sign up for a Hayya card through the official website in order to enter Qatar, gain entry to the stadiums, and receive free transportation to and from the stadiums via the Doha Metro from Hamad International Airport.
Air Arabia advised all travellers to carefully plan their trips, reaching Doha at least four hours before a game and leaving four hours after it, as well.
As quoted by The National, Adel Al Ali, group chief executive officer of Air Arabia, said, "The shuttle flights will provide fans with easy, reliable and timely access in and out of Doha to enjoy the matches and return right after.”
In May, Flydubai also announced match-day flights, making it easy for ticket holders to travel between Dubai and Doha.
During the event, the airline will be operating up to 30 roundtrip flights every day.
Qatar Airways announced last week that it would temporarily restructure its flight schedule to accommodate the expected increase in travel demand during the World Cup.
The Air Arabia shuttle flights to Doha will run until the last day of the World Cup i.e. December 18.
