Mashable: FIFA also shared 360° footage of the stadium on Twitter.

Qatar did not shy away from seven building extravagant stadiums (and renovating the old ones) to host the 2022 World Cup, the first ever in the Middle East. Interestingly, one of the venues, Stadium 974 in Doha, features unique construction, as per FIFA’s recent tweet.

Build from recycled shipping containers — including steel and shipping — it is called '974' because of the number of containers that went to build it. Incidentally, it’s also the Gulf country's international dialling code.

FIFA also shared 360° footage of the stadium, and later, they also mentioned how it has a seating capacity of forty thousand and is designed as a port-side structure.

They further add how Stadium 974 is the first structure that can be dismantled and re-purposed entirely following the event. So far, seven games have been hosted in the stadium, with the last match being played between Brazil and South Korea.

The Qatar 2022 website states: "This unique venue pays tribute to Qatar's long-standing tradition of worldwide trade and seafaring. Not only is 974 the international dialling code for Qatar, but it is also the exact number of shipping containers used in construction. Situated in the portside area and in sight of Doha's coastal cityscape, fans at Stadium 974 will feel the cool breeze as it rolls in from the Arabian Gulf.''

''After the tournament, the containers and super-structure will be reused. A waterfront development boasting fabulous facilities for the local community will spring to life, as well as a dynamic hub for business. This new concept in venue development ensures that while Stadium 974's physical presence may be temporary, its legacy will be everlasting,'' it further reads.

Located in Ras Abu Aboud, Doha, the structure is the only non-air-conditioned stadium. As a result, matches here were hosted in the evening.
