Mashable: The discount card provides exciting offers that you can't afford to miss.
Good news for Golden visa holders in Dubai! The Golden Visa members are now eligible for a special privilege card issued by the emirate's police.
The Esaad card provides members various offers and discounts on a variety of services, such as school fees and medical procedures.
The green and gold discount cards are accepted at 7,237 brands and businesses in the UAE and 92 countries around the world.
Anyone who has been granted a five- or ten-year golden visa in Dubai is eligible for the card.
As reported by Dubai Media Office, Secretary General of The Executive Council of Dubai, Abdulla Al Basti, stated, “The stability and incentives will encourage holders of the golden visa to continue contributing to Dubai’s wider economy. They will also help the city attract fresh and exceptional talent from across the world.”
Golden visas, which were first granted in 2020, are presented to those who have made great contributions to the UAE, have highly valued qualities, or operate in fields deemed critical to the country's economic progress.
Informing about the offers of the privilege card, director general of Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism, Saeed Almari, said, “In addition to benefiting from Dubai’s advanced infrastructure, state-of-the-art services and a unique modern lifestyle, golden visa holders will now enjoy attractive and exclusive benefits through their Esaad cards, including a host of discounts on a wide range of services, products, attractions and experiences.”
Golden visas allow foreigners to live, work, and study in the UAE without the need for a national sponsor and with full ownership of their business on the UAE mainland.
A golden visa is automatically granted to anyone who purchases a property worth Dh2 million or more in the Emirate. If a person is granted a golden visa, their spouse and children are also eligible to apply.
On Monday, the Dubai Media Office said that the Esaad card would also be granted to residents receiving social benefits, military and civilian retirees from government and private sector jobs, as well as disabled and senior citizens in the emirate.
