There are limitations to this feature, as users are restricted from downloading 10-15 apps simultaneously. The Google Play Store now allows the download of two new apps at the same time. This means that if you are installing two apps, they will download concurrently rather than consecutively.

However, attempting to add a third app will place it in a pending status until one of the two initial apps has finished installing. It is important to note that this feature is only applicable to new downloads. When updating an existing app, the queue system remains in place, downloading apps one by one.

Apple's App Store has the capability to handle three simultaneous downloads, which is not ideal. However, Google's Play Store has made an improvement by introducing a new feature that allows downloads in batches of two. This means that when users switch to a new phone and download a large number of apps, the time taken can potentially be reduced by half.

The reason behind Google's decision to limit the number of apps to two remains unclear. One possible explanation is to prevent data throttling, as multiple parallel downloads can consume network speed and cause all apps to take longer to download.

Another reason, as suggested by a report, could be that Google is testing this feature and may increase the number of apps that can be downloaded simultaneously in the future.
