Hanging out with friends on weekends and meeting family for special occasions seem like things of the distant past after the pandemic restricted movement for over a year. People in the gulf region were able to make a rapid transition towards communicating with colleagues or attending online classes, thanks to high-speed connectivity coupled with easy availability of top-of-the-line devices.

At a time when social media has become the primary space for people to interact even with those staying in the same city, video-calling platforms like Zoom have tried to fill the void by connecting families. But the region's population which had been packing their joy in small displays of smartphones, tabs and laptops. will now be able to have more realistic conversations with loved ones or coworkers, through their living room television sets.

Chinese tech brand Huawei has unveiled a smart TV in Saudi Arabia, which comes equipped with a camera, to effectively convey emotions through a 65 inch screen. The model supports MeeTime video-calling feature, and lets people feel closer to their friends with 1080 pixel HD video.

To add to a 13 megapixel camera, the smart gadget has a 120 Hz display, so that people don't miss out on special moments. These features in collaboration with crystal clear sound create an immersive bubble where people on both sides can interact in a separate ecosystem of their own.

Not only does the TV enhance face-to-face communication, it also transports people into each other's homes, since the camera can adjust to 180 degrees to cover every corner of the background. Users can also start MeeTime calls on smartphones when they are out, and simply transfer them to the TV once they step indoors, without connecting with the WiFi network.

The same quality which Huawei's TV brings to personal interactions, can also be used effectively for improving work-related calls or presentations. It also has one more feature to raise the fun factor, which allows your smartphone to double up as a gaming pad for virtual bouts on the big screen.
