Instagram was seen testing a new story feature which lets the users to post stories that last 60 seconds.
This was identified by a Social Media Consultant, Matt Navarra from Turkey.
Presently, any video which lasts up to 15 seconds will split into multiple stories when it gets posted. The meta-owned social media platform introduced Instagram badges last month which is great for content creators to earn money from their followers.
Users who are 18 years old with over 10K followers on Instagram can use badges, but this feature is available only in selected regions.
Also, Instagram enhanced its Link Sticker feature which includes custom text and color options. Users who want to share links on stories can customize the link with personalized texts and stickers instead of a plain link. This enhances the visibility of the link on different images and backgrounds.
According to Matt Navarra, Instagram sending notifications a few users regarding the change.
Currently, Insta users are facing difficulty while posting long stories as it prevents them tagging users.
However, the new update will make the job easy for users and gives a tough competition to Snapchat and TikTok.
