Mashable: Instagram has had a rocky few weeks.

Today, Meta announced the release of its new Reels features for Instagram and Facebook. In particular, a "Add Yours" badge for Reels is being introduced across both social media platforms. Users may use the sticker to share their own Reels in response to the question or subject of another user's Reel.

When you post a new Add Yours prompt, other users' Reels in response to it will be collected on a new page. The person who initiated the prompt will be shown at the top of the page so that proper credit may be given. Despite its intended purpose of encouraging user collaboration, the function may also be seen as a means of finding interesting new accounts to follow.

 Reels Updates

We’re launching a few new Reels features to make it fun and easy for people to find + share more entertaining content:

- ‘Add Yours’ Sticker
- IG-to-FB Crossposting
- FB Reels Insights

Instagram Stories were the first to provide the option last autumn. The sticker, according to the company, is a popular Stories feature, so it makes sense for Meta to bring it to Reels as well, particularly considering its ambitions to increase emphasis on the short-form video feature. Meta may view the sticker as a method to grow the amount of Reels on its platforms and encourage people who may not have otherwise uploaded Reels to share one, since it encourages users to post their own Reels in reaction to the initial one.

Meta also stated that it is making available to all qualified creators on Facebook Reels the virtual objects known as Stars, which enable viewers to show their support for their favorite creators. The program, which had previously been extended to Facebook Reels, is now being made available to all qualified creators. Meta also mentions the release of additional mobile alternatives for signing up for Stars and keeping tabs on profits.

Moreover, Meta now lets everyone effortlessly share their Instagram Reels on Facebook. Firms believe this will make it easier for creators to grow their audiences and make money via Facebook and Instagram's respective monetization schemes.

In addition, Meta is releasing a feature that will automatically create Facebook Reels from the Stories you've already posted. With this new function, creating and sharing Reels of your most treasured moments should be much simpler. It's hardly surprising that with Meta's newfound interest in Reels, the firm is trying to get people to convert their Stories into Reels.

As part of today's update, Facebook Reels insights are now available in Creator Studio. According to Meta, the new data will show creators which Facebook Reels are popular. New analytics including Reach, Minutes Viewed, and Average Watch Time will be available to artists.

Last but not least, Meta is releasing a Reels Remix tool for Facebook Reels, allowing users to remix Facebook Reels in a sequential fashion. You may still choose to remix by having your clip appear alongside the original reel, or you can choose to remix by having your clip appear after the original reel.

Instagram has had a rocky few weeks, and these updates are much-needed after the firm reverted earlier modifications to the app in response to user dissatisfaction. The social media industry has taken some heat for adapting to the newcomer TikTok. The social media platform Instagram is just as culpable as it attempted to update its feed to include full-screen photographs and videos. Users were not pleased with the changes, and they spoke out in droves, so Instagram reverted to its previous policy. The corporation has acknowledged its target demographic's perspective but insisted that adjustments would be required.
