The No Time To Die director compares James Bond franchise to the American cartoon series The Simpsons.

Daniel Craig, who stepped into the shoes of James Bond with Casino Royale, made his final outing as the popular 007 agent with Cary Joji Fukunaga's No Time To Die. While the film's excellent reviews and global box office numbers prove its success, it looks like the English actor has managed to weave his magic once again. And with the world eagerly waiting for the makers of the popular franchise to announce its next James Bond, director Fukunaga's recent comments about the Bond franchise has instantly grabbed everyone's attention.

Talking about his popular Hollywood spy franchise, Fukunaga compared its villains and storylines often predicting and preceding world events in a similar way to the American cartoon The Simpsons. Popularly discussed for its uncanny ability to predict real-world events way before they occur (like Donald Trump Presidential win and the global pandemic), the long-running cartoon series has become one of the most talked-about shows on social media.

"If you go back and look at some of the villains and plots to see how they play out differently over time, it's almost like The Simpsons, when The Simpsons predict things in the future. I feel like you can go back to some Bond films and show the things that we end up seeing actually happen," Fukunaga said.

Fukunaga, who stepped in post-Danny Boyle's exit from the project, has impressed the audience with his stellar filmmaking skills, giving Daniel Craig's final outing as Bond the much-appreciated and bold end. And with the James Bond franchise spanning over the last few decades, it has gone on to mirror a few landscapes from the real world on the silver screen.

The Daniel Craig starrer was released worldwide on Sept. 30, it managed to achieve a stamp of approval from the Central Bureau of Film Certification (CBFC) without receiving any cuts. Apart from Craig, No Time To Die also features an ensemble star cast comprising of Ana de Armas, Léa Seydoux, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Christoph Waltz and Rami Malek.
