Publicis Media has hired Mandy Rayment as UK director of communications, poaching her from rival ad network Dentsu Aegis. Rayment had been at Dentsu for more than six years, most recently as communications & marketing director for UK & Ireland.
In her new role, she will lead all internal and external communications for Publicis Media and its five agencies: Digitas, Performics, Spark Foundry, Starcom and Zenith. “I have enjoyed 12 wonderful years at Dentsu Aegis Network, but the opportunity to join Sue and the team at Publicis Media to help support their ambitious plans was too good to refuse," Rayment said. "It’s a really exciting time to be joining and I can’t wait to get started.”
She takes up the role in April and will join the network's UK executive leadership team, reporting into CEO Sue Frogley.
Sue Frogley, CEO, Publicis Media UK said: “Mandy is highly respected in her field and brings years of industry experience that will be invaluable as we look to build on our recent successes. Our paths have crossed before so I’m thrilled to be working with her again and welcome her on board.”
Mandy Rayment, Director of Communications, Publicis Media UK added: “I have enjoyed 12 wonderful years at Dentsu Aegis Network, but the opportunity to join Sue and the team at Publicis Media to help support their ambitious plans was too good to refuse. It’s a really exciting time to be joining and I can’t wait to get started.”
Rayment was a founder member and co-chair of Dentsu Aegis' LGBT+ network during her tenure, and in 2019 was named a 'Top 10 Future Leader' at the British LGBT+ Awards.
She takes over the role from Rupert Smith, who quit to join news brands marketing body News works.
This appointment follows a string of account wins across Publicis Media over recent months including Three, Disney and Macmillan Cancer Support.”
