Eid Al Adha holds great significance for Muslims worldwide. It falls on the tenth day of Dhul-Hijjah, a sacred month in the Islamic calendar. The festival commemorates the extraordinary sacrifices made by the Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham), his wife Hajar (Hagar), and their son, the Prophet Ismail (Ishmael).

This auspicious occasion coincides with the annual Haj rites, the pilgrimage to the holy city of Makkah, which millions of Muslims undertake. Eid Al Adha serves as a reminder of the supreme devotion and obedience displayed by Prophet Ibrahim when he was commanded by Allah to sacrifice his beloved son. However, just as Ibrahim was about to fulfill the divine order, Allah replaced Ismail with a sacrificial animal, symbolizing the ultimate act of submission.

During Eid Al Adha, Muslims worldwide gather in unity to offer special prayers and express gratitude for the blessings received. The festival is marked by the distribution of meat from sacrificial animals among family, friends, and those in need. It also fosters a spirit of generosity, compassion, and community, as individuals come together to share their blessings and contribute to charitable causes.
