The UAE’s first-of-its-kind platform, Toyshare app helps parents rent books and toys in the region.

Children grow up really fast and keeping them up to date with their growth, be it clothes, or toys can be an overwhelming experience, especially when it’s a costly affair for the parents, to keep up with the trends and needs.

However, a UAE-based app — Toyshare has a solution to this problem as the platform helps families across the UAE save dirhams while being sustainable as they can rent through this platform instead of buying it.

Founded by Hani AlQattan, a UAE National airline captain, who also experienced the same problem, launched the app to fulfil the gap in the market.

The rental app offers a fortnightly delivery of educational books and toys which are then collected and replaced with a fresh batch, which aims to assist learning and creativity in kids.

Suitable for kids between ages one to twelve, a hand-selected array of books and toys span over 100 high-end brands, for the parents to choose from. Children can get access to various reading books and play with a variety of toys including Lego, Nerf guns and LeapFrog.

The best part about the whole process is, toys or books don’t get piled up in the house once their children have outgrown them.

Suiting varying abilities and interests, Toyshare offers are a range of customisable subscriptions available, which can be tailored to meet each family’s requirements.

They can be customised according to specific books, or certain types of toys or even customise the Toyshare subscription accordingly.

To ensure hygiene and safety, the items on the app being rented undergo thorough sterilisation using environment-friendly cleaning products and top-quality UV lights for safety. Additionally, there is also an added lock on each package to ensure no contamination during their dispatching via Aramex delivery.

Another best part about the rental app is that once the books and toys are retired, they are donated to an NGO, which then takes charge of distributing them to less-fortunate children in refugee camps, orphanages, centres for disabled children and paediatric hospitals.
