Cristiano Ronaldo was recently seen wearing a traditional Saudi thobe in Riyadh, capital of the Gulf country.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner stunned the world with his high-earning transfer to Saudi side Al Hilal after leaving Manchester United. The football player’s deal with the Riyadh club made him the highest-earning football player in the history of the game.

The 38-year-old Portuguese star captains the Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr which he joined in a free transfer earlier this year.

It seems like Cristiano Ronaldo has well adapted to Saudi Arabia’s culture.

A video of the Al Nassr captain wearing a traditional thobe in Riyadh has gone viral on the internet. Several of the fans of the Portuguese legend have shared a video of him donning a traditional thobe.

The video clip shared on the microblogging platform X, (formerly Twitter) has garnered several reactions. Many fans of the footballer have praised him for wearing the traditional outfit and contributing to Saudi culture. However, some have also questioned this move.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Al Nassr were last seen playing against Shabab Al-Ahli in a Champions League game where his side defeated the latter 4-2. The Portuguese player and his team will now face Al Fateh on Friday, August 25, 2023.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo joined the Saudi club Al-Nassr on a 2.5-year contract on December 30, 2022, after leaving his former club Manchester United. His deal with the Middle East club is reportedly worth more than 200 million euros.
