Cristiano Ronaldo’s lookalike recently created a fan frenzy on the streets of the Saudi Capital Riyadh.

Portuguese star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo enjoys a huge fan following in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He currently plays for the Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr.

Football fans in Riyadh were stunned by a man, bearing a similar physical resemblance to the Portuguese icon Cristiano Ronaldo. He was none other than the AL-Nassr captain’s famous lookalike Gökmen Akdoğan.

Ronaldo’s lookalike, who is reportedly from Turkey recently visited the Saudi capital Riyadh as per the posts on his Instagram account.

Ronaldo’s superfan, who is quite famous for impersonating the footballer caused a stir in the Saudi capital. Fans in Riyadh including children showed interest in taking photos with the CR7 lookalike.

Viral videos on social media show Ronaldo impersonator walking and greeting people on the streets. He is seen wearing the 39-year-old football player’s shirt No. 7 at the Riyadh-based club Al Nassr.

Not only does the man dress like Ronaldo, but he also bears his facial similarities and hairstyle. Gökmen Akdoğan also appears to copy Ronald’s walking style.

His appearance has attracted many people and they were seen rushing towards him to take photos. A video also shows the CR7 fan mingling with little kids and doing Ronaldo’s iconic “siuuu” celebrations.

Ever since Ronaldo transferred to the Kingdom, Saudi Arabia’s football has been receiving global attention.

Ronaldo was recently engulfed in controversy. He triggered fans for allegedly making an obscene gesture in a local Saudi Pro League game against Al Shabab, earlier this week.
