The first Dubai Future Forum will bring together hundreds of 'futurists' from around the world.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), has announced that the Dubai Future Forum is scheduled to take place in the Museum of the Future on October 10 and 11.
The first Dubai Future Forum will bring together hundreds of 'futurists' from around the world. The Crown Prince said that the emirate will receive 400 futurists from around the world for the forum.
Thought leaders and specialists from more than 15 organisations and institutions will be there to debate and discuss the next few decades for humanity.
Sheikh Hamdan informed that the Forum will explore and shape the future by discussing developments that affect our daily lives, investing in opportunities, and preparing the world for potential risks.
The UAE's real strength is its development approach, which is focused on foresight and collaboration with the best ideas and brains to construct the best future for human communities, he emphasized.
Sheikh Hamdan further stressed on being proactive in designing and making the future and preparing for its changes. He concluded by saying Dubai and the UAE will always have a passion for the future.
The discussion will focus on four major themes: the future of the planet, values and humanity, existential risks, and anticipating future developments. These topics will be covered over the course of two days and 30 sessions.
It may be mentioned that the Museum of the Future first opened its doors in February. The seven-storey pillarless structure stands 77 metres tall and covers an area of 30,000 square metres. The stainless steel facade, which measures over 17,000 square metres, is illuminated by 14,000 metres of Arabic calligraphy.
The iconic landmark will serve as the region's largest platform for studying, envisioning, and designing the future, bringing together talent from science, technology, research, and innovation.
