Mashable: The Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will serve as chairman of the upper committee, which will be in charge of all future technical improvements in the emirate.

An executive higher committee has been established by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai to create Dubai's Metaverse Strategy.

The Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will serve as chairman of the upper committee, which will be in charge of all future technical improvements in the emirate.

Metaverse is a network of 3D digital worlds developed within a virtual reality area where people can interact with computer-generated settings and other users. The metaverse Social networking augmented and virtual reality, video games, and other cutting-edge technology are all part of this.

According to a report by Arabian Business, Sheikh Mohammed stated “: “We seek to transform Dubai into the world’s best city in the world to live, work, and invest." In order to attain this goal and keep Dubai at the top of the global competitiveness rankings, it is critical that government services are continuously improved.

“We are committed to further enhancing government operations in Dubai so that we can provide the best possible environment for the economy to flourish and ensure the greatest quality of life for citizens and residents. I am fully confident of the new committee’s ability to accomplish this goal.” As a result of this directive from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Dubai Metaverse Strategy Committee has been given a two-month deadline to prepare the plan.

Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, and Second Deputy Chairman of the Dubai Council, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, presided over a meeting of the Dubai Council, which was also attended by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

It was also disclosed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid that the Dubai Municipality has been restructured in accordance with Dubai's future direction as well as its development objectives in many areas.

Through the reorganization, Dubai Municipality hopes to become an institution focused on providing high-quality municipal services, similar to the private sector.

Aiming to keep up with worldwide changes in the environment, climate change, circular economy, and private sector collaborations, it also aims to strengthen its ability to remain up to date with global trends.

Economic prospects of AED 10 billion are expected to be created within five years while operating costs are expected to drop 10 percent.

The Dubai Municipality said in March 2022 that it intended to cooperate with private sector companies and investors to construct One Human Reality, a metaverse version of the city focused on humans in the future.
