To enrich the artistic and cultural scene at Expo 2020 Dubai, Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), has collaborated with Talabat, the official food delivery partner for Expo 2020, to launch the #CreativeCravings initiative.

Through the initiative, six UAE-based artists have come forward to express their artistic interpretation of culinary arts at the ‘Talabat Kitchen’ at Expo 2020 Dubai.

The artists who were selected from Dubai Culture’s talent pool and throughout the event will showcase their creativity and add their artistic touches to Talabat riders’ helmets.

The initiative kicked off on October 29, wherein the artists gave creative touches to the helmets as a symbol of appreciation for the crucial role that Talabat riders play for the communities they operate in.

Evgenia Silvina, who painted the first helmet is a UAE-based artist of Russian origin, works with themes of heritage, tribal minorities, culture, and people portraits. She painted the mural and the bike on the first floor of the Talabat Kitchen.

Another artist from Filipino, Ella Orencillo drew her inspiration from the face-paint and headdress of native Papuan tribesmen, who inculcated them onto the helmets. She, too, has painted a mural and bike on the first floor at the Talabat Kitchen.

For the #CreativeCravings initiative, Talabat as part of this collaboration will be hosting one artist per month at Expo 2020 Dubai and the painted helmets will be displayed in the ‘Talabat Kitchen’ for the duration of Expo 2020.

Additionally, visitors can expect to see Talabat autonomous robots and e-scooters across the site as well as a fully automated robotic confectioner and barista in the ‘Talabat Kitchen,’ which is located next to Jubilee Park in the Sustainability District
