The tech giant is also offering hands down experience with machine learning solutions.
An accelerated move towards a connected world where digital services are an inseparable part of life, has carved out a space for technology like AI, cloud and online apps to occupy a larger role in everyday life. The UAE has been at the forefront of deploying digitisation for the growth of businesses, along with the availability of remote medical care and for uninterrupted learning, in the Middle East, during as well as after the lockdown.
But in addition to integration of smart systems developed elsewhere, the Emirates is also focusing on making sure that the next set of innovative tools for the region, is assembled by local talent, via courses in coding and machine learning. Residents of the country which has made a name for establishing the world's first AI university, can now access knowhow on artificial intelligence for free via e-learning.
The initiative launched by tech powerhouse Samsung, will include online courses for sharpening skills related to deep learning, machine learning and related mathematics as well. Practical exercises along with tasks for solving problems via tech, will be introduced in order to help young Emiratis, get hands down experience on working with AI-powered tools.
Students registering for the class scheduled for next month will also be able to learn about effective application of data science solutions, to make everyday life simpler. The course material will include knowhow about linear algebra, stats, probability and programming language python, which will lay the foundation for development of AI mechanisms.
The project aimed at empowering local innovators of the future, will also provide knowhow about communication and designing, which will be required for creating smart tech.
The announcement by Samsung, puts it in the same league as tech majors Microsoft, Amazon and Google, that are collaborating with Emirati authorities to train aspiring coders in the country. Apart from AI and coding, students in the Middle Eastern tech powerhouse are also gaining experience in creating software for use in space, through an actual satellite.
