Huda Kattan, the beauty blogger, entrepreneur, and founder of the cosmetic line Huda Beauty, is delaying the launch of her beauty podcast. Titled Huda Hotline, her new venture was slated to release on Wednesday, October 2 but the 41-year-old held back from the launch in light of the ongoing global crisis. Though she did not mention specific events, her move came after the escalating war tension and humanitarian crisis in the Middle East.
Israel began an invasion of southern Lebanon as a result of the escalating Israel-Hezbollah conflict and the Israel-Hamas war on October 1. The atrocities witnessed major attacks and aerial bombings on Hezbollah and the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah. It appears Huda was referring to the war atrocities in her official Instagram announcement that read, “Over the past couple of days, we’ve seen so many atrocities around the world. My heart goes out to everyone who is experiencing pain and suffering during these times.”

Huda deemed the launch of her new project ‘unimportant’ amid the crisis situation, “Continuing with our original launch date of today for Huda Hotline feels unimportant in times likes these, which is why despite the press and announcement released earlier last week, I have decided to push back the launch of my podcast Huda Hotline.”

She added, “As always, I will continue to use my personal platforms to be a voice for the unheard and raise awareness.”
As of now, it remains unclear when she will reschedule her ‘Huda Hotline’ podcast launch.
