Lolland-Falsters Folketidende

Lolland-Falster Folk-based, founded in 1873, is a Danish newspaper that editorially covers Guldborgsund and Lolland municipalities. The headquarters are located in Nykøbing Falster, while the other two editors are in Maribo and Nakskov respectively . Chief Editor is Lars Hovgaard. The newspaper is published Monday-Saturday in 21,061 copies. In the second half of 2012 the newspaper was published in 15,473 copies. The newspaper was founded by politician Rasmus Claussen ( 1835 - 1905 ), and was affiliated with the Left Party. The party affair ceased in 1980, and the magazine now stands just as liberally. At the beginning of the 20th century, the newspaper became the leader in Falster and East Lolland, but the tough competition situation made progress progressively. The Conservative West Lolland Newspaper went into 1960, and Folketidende took over one of the other competitors, the Lollands Journal of the Left, in 1971, while the last New Day with its headquarters in Nakskov closed in 1994. Since then, Lolland-Falster's people have had monopoly on the whole of Lolland Falster.
